AAC announces 2014-15 conference pairings in men’s hoops

UConn’s home conference schedule for men’s basketball in the 2014-15 season will include UCF, Cincinnati, East Carolina, Memphis, USF, SMU, Temple, Tulane, and Tulsa, the American Athletic Conference announced Wednesday.

With Louisville leaving for the Atlantic Coast Conference, Rutgers leaving for the Big Ten, and the addition of East Carolina, Tulane, and Tulsa in 2014, membership in the AAC increases to 11 with its basketball teams continuing to play an 18-game conference schedule. Each team will play eight of its 10 opponents twice, and the other two opponents once each – one at home and one away.

UConn will not play at UCF and Houston will not travel to UConn. The Huskies will be traveling a lot of miles in this new-look conference.

The complete 2014-15 conference schedule with dates and times will be announced at a later date.
