UConn 2015 commit Ali reopens recruitment

Shooting guard Prince Ali, a member of the Class of 2015 who made an oral commitment to UConn last November, announced Thursday he has reopened his recruitment – but still has the Huskies on his list.

“After talking it over with my family I have decided to reopen my recruitment!” Ali tweeted early Thursday evening. “I still love the Uconn and I am still considering Uconn!”

Ali, a 6-4 guard from the Sagemont School and Pembroke Pines, Fla., is considered a four-star guard. UConn invested a lot of time recruiting him before he committed to the Huskies on Nov. 25, 2013. Georgetown, Illinois, Nebraska and UCLA were among the finalists for Ali, who did not give any reason for his decision and also didn’t indicate which schools are back on his list now.
UConn has one other commitment from the 2015 class. Point guard Willie Jackson, from Athens, Ga., committed to the Huskies on Feb. 3.
