Tigers need to be buyers to stay in AL Central race

Writing about baseball has always been easy and enjoyable for me. The game was my first love in the sports world. I’ve been lucky enough to write a lot of baseball during my sportwriting career without the grind of the 162-game schedule and the long hours of a baseball beat writer.

Since joining the staff of FanRagSports.com last month, I’ve been writing about college sports. And that will continue to be my main event – football and basketball on TodaysU.com.

But the editors of TodaysKnuckleball.com are allowing me to write about Major League Baseball. That will happen at least once a week – and maybe more. So please check out my first contribution, a piece on the problems facing the Detroit Tigers and what they need to do in order to stay in the hunt for a fifth consecutive AL Central championship.

The Kansas City Royals, and perhaps the Minnesota Twins, seemingly have something to say about that.
