Duke tops final power rankings; Kentucky falls to No. 3

My final power rankings for the 2014-15 baksetball season were posted on FoxSports.com on Tuesday morning after Duke beat Wisconsin in the national championship  game. My apologies for not posting here sooner. I’ve been traveling. Check them out here.

Wisconsin’s Kaminsky gets best birthday present ever

INDIANAPOLIS – The national player of the year called it his best birthday present ever. “I got a [Nintendo]-64 once,” Wisconsin forward Frank Kaminsky said. “I don’t know what happened to it. My dad drove me to get my driver’s license when I was 16, so that was pretty cool too. Yeah, that’s about it.” […]

Kentucky’s Harrison should apologize for comment

INDIANAPOLIS – A couple of videos that illustrate both sides of a big game at college basketball’s Final Four. First, some raw video I shot from my spot on press row, showing Wisconsin fans, especially the Grateful Red, celebrating the final seconds of the Badgers’ 71-64 victory over previously undefeated Kentucky. These fans are a […]

Wisconsin welcomes second shot at Kentucky

INDIANAPOLIS – It would be borderline ludicrous to suggest Frank Kaminsky returned for his senior season at Wisconsin just to get another shot at Kentucky in a national semifinal game at the Final Four. Who are the 5 teams that can win the NCAA men’s tourney?

How many teams are capable of winning the NCAA national championship this season? In my opinion, there are only five – and one is No.1 Kentucky, of course. Check out the slideshow on FoxSports.com by clicking here.

Final FoxSports.com power rankings before Selection Sunday

2014-15 College Basketball Power Rankings: Week 18 The clock is ticking as we continue the countdown to Selection Sunday. This is, without a doubt, the most intense week of the season. Some things are already in place, but so much is unknown. As the NCAA men’s basketball committee gathered in Indianapolis Wednesday to go through its […]

NCAA committee has clear view of top teams – including Kentucky

If educated college basketball fans are assuming Kentucky will be a clear cut No. 1 seed overall when the NCAA tournament bracket is announced on Sunday, Scott Barnes would like them to know “that’s certainly a good read on the situation.” Barnes, chair of the Division I men’s basketball committee and director of athletics at […]
