Mosqueda-Lewis and Tuck to miss playing time

Here is the detailed injury report from UConn regarding the conditions of University of Connecticut women’s basketball players Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis and Morgan Tuck.

Mosqueda-Lewis, a junior guard/forward suffered a nerve contusion of the right elbow early in the second half of top-ranked UConn’s 76-57 victory over No. 3 Stanford on Monday evening. An MRI revealed the injury and the Anaheim Hills, Calif. native will be re-evaluated next week. A time frame for Mosqueda-Lewis’ return is not determined at this time but should become more clear upon next week’s re-evaluation.

Tuck, a sophomore forward, has been experiencing swelling in her right knee since the beginning of the 2013-14 season due to a cartilage injury. Dr. Robert Arciero performed arthroscopic surgery on Tuesday at the UConn Health Center and was able to successfully stabilize the cartilage. Tuck is expected to return to game action in 4-6 weeks.
