Shabazz Napier scored nine of his 24 points in overtime to lead No. 7 seed UConn to an 89-81 victory over Saint Joseph’s in the second round of the NCAA tournament in Buffalo Thursday night. But it was a three-point play by freshman center Amida Brimah in the final minute of overtime that had everyone buzzing.
“He showed a lot of maturity and a lot of heart for that possession, guard Ryan Boatright said. “Man, for him to make that play, just for him to go to the line like he knew he was going to make it. He went to the line with the swag and all that.”
