UConn and Syracuse made it official Thursday. The former Big East rivals have schedule a two-game non-conference football series, with games to be played in 2016 and 2018.
Syracuse, now in the Atlantic Coast Conference, will visit Rentschler Fieldon Sept. 24, 2016. UConn will travel to the Carrier Dome on Sept. 29, 2018. The Hartford Courant first reported the series last month.
UConn and the Orange played nine times from 2004-2012 in the Big East. UConn won six of the meeting, going 4-0 at The Rent in East Hartford and 2-3 in the Carrier Dome.
The series completes UConn’s 2016 non-conference schedule with home games against Maine (September 3) and Virginia (September 17) and at UMass (September 10 at Gillette Stadium).
UConn will also play a non-conference home game at Rentschler Field against Rhode Island on August 30, 2018.

UConn and Tennessee have a two-game home-and-home series under contract with dates to be determined.
