The UConn men’s basketball schedule is almost complete for 2015-16. The version released Tuesday includes all but a few game times, which are still to be determined. Dates, venues and television coverage were released by the school and the American Athletic Conference.
For all those interested in TV coverage, UConn will play two games, against Ohio State and Georgetown, on CBS and at least 13 games on the ESPN network family — ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU. The Huskies will have eight games featured on CBS Sports Network and five on SNY. In addition, UConn’s opening game in the Battle 4 Atlantis against Michigan is set for AXS TV, with television coverage for the remaining two games of the tourney still to be determined.
The Huskies will play five AAC games at Gampel Pavilion, including games against Tulsa and the regular-season finale against Central Florida. UConn has four conference games scheduled at the XL Center, including matchups against defending conference champ SMU and longtime opponent Cincinnati. The Huskies will play each of the AAC teams at home except USF and will play each on the road except East Carolina.
Including the previously-announced non-conference schedule, UConn will have 10 home games on campus at Gampel Pavilion and nine home games at the XL Center in Hartford, which include an exhibition game at each venue.
The conference schedule will begin on the road in New Orleans as the Huskies meet Tulane on Jan. 2.
Two games in March complete the regular season, at SMU (March 3) and at home in Gampel Pavilion against UCF (March 6).
The American Athletic Conference Championship is set for March 10-13 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Fla.
