The American Athletic Conference has completed its work on the 2016-17 men’s basketball league schedule. All the dates, times and television schedules have been finanalized and plugged into place. That allowed UConn to release its complete schedule for the upcoming season on Thursday.
UConn’s non-conference schedule, highlighted by the Maui Invitational, was released in July.
UConn’s AAC schedule will begin at home on Dec. 28 against Houston. The Huskies close out the regular season at home as well on March 5 against Cincinnati. The dates for the AAC Championship tournament are March 9-12 at the XL Center in Hartford.
The breakdown for UConn’s 30-game regular season schedule includes 14 home games, 12 road games and four neutral site games.
All of UConn’s games will be televised, with two games set for the CBS Network, 14 games on the ESPN family of networks, five games on SNY, seven games on CBS Sports Network, and one on the Big Ten Network. The TV outlet for the UConn game at Georgetown on Jan. 14 is still to be announced.
The home venues for the Huskies’ games feature an even split of eight games each at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs and the XL Center in Hartford, including a preseason exhibition game at each site.
