Arlington, Texas – What a celebration for the UConn Huskies tonight in Jerry’s Playland, the AT&T Stadium. It just happens to be the home of the Dallas Cowboys, Kevin Ollie’s favorite team – other than the Huskies, of course.
On the court after the game, before the Huskies started cutting down the nets, the first person I bumped into was former Husky Nantambu Willingham.
“Who deserves it more than these kids?” Willingham said.
Couldn’t have said it better myself. Here are a few images I was able to capture on my phone camera.
My favorite is next to last as Ollie and his players watched their “One Shining Moment” video on the Jumbotron. They enjoyed that moment so much.
And last, DeAndre Daniels was clutching the championship trophy in the locker room like he might never let go.
